San Antonio Spurs President Gregg Popovich announced he will extend his undercover opposition research of the Detroit Pistons an extra day to determine if the romantic feelings he’s developed for Pistons coach Dwane Casey are “true.”

“I have to know if there’s something real here that’s worth pursuing,” Popovich told reporters while dressed as a UPS delivery man outside the Pistons’ main offices.

Popovich said he realized he was beginning to fall for Casey early on in his undercover investigation of the team, particularly when Casey opened up to him about his insecurities while Popovich posed as the team masseuse.

Asked about his organization’s plans should his feelings turn out to be more than a mere crush, Popovich said it’s still too early to make that call.

“We’ll cross that bridge when we come to it,” Popovich said before diving into the bushes.
